Dr Nidal Al-Majali wrote that the new Jordan TV programming season is not an act of anticipation or rejection but an honest call for renewal that reflects the nation’s true self.
He said the new season should mark a genuine rebirth of a national media spirit that mirrors Jordan’s authenticity — its villages, deserts, mountains, and people — rather than imitate others.
Al-Majali noted that Jordan TV’s real audience lives not in West Amman but in the homes of those in the desert, southern, and northern villages, who deserve programming that represents them rather than urban trends or glossy studios.
He called for children’s shows that educate and entertain, youth programmes that inspire entrepreneurship, and content that highlights women’s true social role.
He added that Jordan TV was once a model of professionalism, marked by the grace of Nadera Omran, the presence of Jamil and Juliet Awwad, the dignity of Habis Al-Abbadi, the calm of Ruhi Al-Safadi, and the humour of Mousa Hijazin.
Al-Majali concluded that the channel needs more than a new season — it needs revival, to regain its national pulse and reflect the spirit and truth of Jordanians amid a noisy and disconnected media era.
