Professor Dr. Yazan Qumouh, head of the Optometry Department at the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, Amman Ahliya University, received the "Optometrist of the Year 2025 – Gulf Region" award from the Optometrists Forum in the UAE.

The award recognizes Dr. Qumouh’s outstanding contributions to advancing the optometry profession and raising its professional and scientific standards regionally and globally, particularly in the Eastern Mediterranean. His academic and research achievements have strengthened the field and promoted international knowledge exchange.
