Representing the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Secretary-General Yazan Khudeir took part in the Arab Tourism Summit 2025 held in London on the sidelines of the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025, from 4–6 November.

The opening session, titled “Bridging Global and Regional Tourism Experiences: Tourism as a Gateway between the Middle East and the UK”, was moderated by UK House of Commons Deputy Speaker Nusrat Ghani, with participants including Visit Oman CEO Shabib Al-Maamari and Dhofar Mayor Dr Ahmad Al-Ghassani.

Khudeir said Jordan’s tourism sector faced major challenges in 2024–2025 due to regional instability but proved resilient and capable of recovery. He stressed that Jordan’s participation in global tourism events reflects its commitment to promoting its place on the regional and international tourism map.

He highlighted the ministry’s focus on supporting local communities and fostering innovation within the 2026 development plans, noting that Jordan’s tourism future remains promising.

Speakers discussed cultural shifts shaping current tourism trends. Khudeir presented Jordan’s leading tourism experiences and future projects, including the launch of a unified tourism Super App integrating all services while placing local communities at the heart of the experience.

Al-Maamari outlined Oman’s upcoming programs to attract international tourism and enhance Middle East–UK cooperation in the travel sector.

At the end of the summit, the Jordan Heritage Revival Company received an award for enriching Jordan’s tourism experience and supporting local communities.

The WTM London 2025 exhibition, now in its 35th edition, hosts over 4,000 exhibitors from 180 countries and about 45,000 tourism and travel professionals worldwide.
