One person died and another was moderately injured in a collision between two vehicles on the Desert Highway Wednesday morning, according to Highway Patrol officer Capt. Ziad Al-Sharman.

Civil Defence and patrol crews responded to the scene, where the body was evacuated and the injured person was taken to hospital for treatment. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.
