The Jordanian Field Hospital South Gaza/8 team arrived Wednesday to begin its humanitarian mission, providing medical and relief aid to alleviate suffering in the Gaza Strip. The deployment continues Jordan’s humanitarian and medical efforts under the leadership of King Abdullah II, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to support Palestinian resilience.

Upon arrival, the medical and administrative teams began setting up clinics and facilities, preparing to receive patients in the coming days to ensure efficient, high-quality care following top humanitarian and relief standards.

The hospital staff includes specialists in general surgery, internal medicine, orthopaedics, general medicine, anaesthesia and intensive care, dermatology, vascular surgery, paediatrics and neonatology, obstetrics and gynaecology, emergency medicine, maxillofacial surgery, and neurosurgery, along with a mobile prosthetics support unit for amputees.

The previous Jordan Field Hospital South Gaza/7 treated 61,763 patients, performed 2,994 major and minor surgeries, and fitted 105 prosthetic limbs, bringing the total number of prosthetics provided under the “Restoring Hope” initiative to 637.

Jordan’s field hospital teams from both northern and southern Gaza returned home Wednesday evening after completing their missions, where they were welcomed by the commander of the 3rd Field Air Defence Brigade and the commander of the Royal Armoured School.
