Amman- His Majesty King Abdullah II begins a visit to Japan on Saturday, starting an Asian working tour that also includes Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, and Pakistan.
The royal tour aims to enhance cooperation between Jordan and these countries and strengthen partnerships, particularly in economic and investment fields.
In Tokyo, His Majesty will meet with His Majesty Emperor Naruhito of Japan, Prime Minister Sanai Takaichi, and Japanese ministers and officials.
The King will also meet with representatives from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and Japanese companies.
In Vietnam's capital, Hanoi, His Majesty will hold talks with President Long Kong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, along with a number of senior officials.
The King will attend part of the Jordan-Vietnam Business Forum, with representatives from the private sector in both countries, and a dialogue session to discuss establishing a partnership in the garments sector.
In Singapore, His Majesty will hold meetings with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.
In Jakarta, the King will hold talks with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and meet with representatives from the Indonesian sovereign wealth fund.
His Majesty will conclude his tour in Pakistan, where he will meet with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
Jordan is scheduled to sign cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding in several fields with Japan, Indonesia, and Pakistan on the sidelines of the King's meetings during the tour.
