In support of youth creativity and student participation in national events, students from the Department of Digital Interior Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Design, in cooperation with the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Ahliyya University, took part in the second edition of the Maker Space Youth Forum 2025, organised by the Crown Prince Foundation at Ras Al-Ain Hangar in Amman, with wide participation from young innovators across the Kingdom.

The university’s booth attracted strong attention, including from the Minister of Education, who viewed the projects of 23 participating students and expressed admiration for their creative and innovative work. The department was represented by Alice Zahran, Marah Atiyeh, Samira Sweidan, Hadeel Khatam, Yasmine Barakat, and Fadi Bishara.

Students presented five creative projects and 23 models of furniture and lighting units, produced within the Model Making and Furniture Design courses supervised by Dr. Dana Amr. The works showcased advanced use of digital fabrication techniques such as laser cutting and 3D printing, reflecting high technical skill and applied quality.

A standout project by master’s student Fatima Al-Saadi was also featured, presenting a 3D-printed clay chair as part of her research on concrete-based 3D printing for furniture, supervised by Dr. Dana Amr. The project added research value to the exhibition by linking design with modern digital manufacturing technologies.
