Gold closes Friday at USD 3980 per ounce, down from USD 4170 the previous day, marking a USD 200 plunge in a single session, according to Jewellers Syndicate head Rabhi Allaan. Local prices fall JD 2.5 per gram in line with global decline.

Allaan says English lira stands at JD 645 and Rashadi lira at JD 564. Market activity remains weak, with demand subdued as global price volatility creates uncertainty for buyers, even those purchasing for savings in recent days.
