Parliament will hold a legislative session Monday to review several government-submitted bills, most notably the 2025 amendment to the Conscription and Reserve Service Law, granting it urgency status.

Crown Prince Hussein announced in August the imminent reactivation of the national service program during a meeting with youth from Irbid.

Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan said the conscription law amendment is a legislative priority ahead of launching the national service program in February next year, as announced by the Crown Prince.

The bill regulates new legal requirements for implementing the program, conditions for deferment, and allows the Jordanian Armed Forces General Command to provide training at military centers, which can be counted by educational institutions toward university requirements. It also removes provisions granting priority in government and private sector appointments to those completing national service.

Parliament will also review other government-submitted bills, including amendments to the Official Gazette Law 2025, Electronic Transactions Law 2025, Notary Law 2025, Awqaf and Islamic Holy Sites Law 2025, and Sharia Execution Law 2025.
