Middle East University signs memorandum of understanding with Princess Taghreed Foundation for Development and Training to strengthen cooperation in vocational training, psychological and educational support, and empowerment of various social groups through specialised educational and training programmes.
MoU is signed by University President Salam Khaled Al-Mahadin and Foundation Director-General Agadir Jouyehan.
Al-Mahadin, attended by MP Tamara Nasser Eddin and university representatives, says the MoU reflects MEU’s national role in supporting vulnerable groups and expanding partnerships that enhance students’ academic and practical skills. She notes that cooperation with Princess Taghreed Foundation enables MEU to engage in qualitative programmes that empower marginalised groups, support diagnostic and psychological-care services, and advance vocational-training systems within a specialised, reliable work environment.
Jouyehan, attended by Foundation representatives, stresses importance of building effective partnerships with leading academic institutions, noting that Princess Taghreed Foundation is a key national actor in empowering families, orphans and those without family support. She says cooperation with MEU will open space for developing joint training programmes and community initiatives combining academic and field practice to better serve community needs.
MoU sets joint framework for course and vocational-diploma accreditation, student-training programmes, community campaigns, specialised mental-health and social-support lectures, joint research projects, credit-based social-responsibility programmes, and coordination on training for final-year students across disciplines.
