Cold conditions persist across Jordan through Tuesday, with rain expected to begin Monday evening, Meteorological Department says.

On Saturday, temperatures rise slightly, with cold weather in most areas and mild conditions in Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba. Low clouds appear, with morning fog expected over highlands and parts of plains. Chance of light, intermittent rain, especially in central regions and parts of southwest. Winds northwesterly, moderate.

Temperatures range in east Amman between 14–8°C, west Amman 12–6, northern highlands 13–5, Sharah highlands 8–4, Badia 16–7, plains 15–8, northern Jordan Valley 21–13, southern Jordan Valley 23–15, Dead Sea 22–13, Aqaba Gulf 25–13.

Department warns of reduced visibility due to fog during early morning hours and risk of slippery roads where rain falls.

On Tuesday, temperatures fall slightly again, with cold, partly cloudy to cloudy weather. Rain expected at times in western parts of kingdom, with northwesterly moderate winds, occasionally active.
