Greater Amman Municipality crews on Saturday recover nearly 19,000 dinars for a citizen after money accidentally thrown into a rubbish container.

According to incident details, citizen leaves home in morning heading to work carrying several bags to dispose of in nearby waste container, including one bag containing 18.9 thousand dinars. All bags discarded without noticing contents.

About 5 minutes later, citizen realises mistake, but garbage truck already arrives at site, empties container, leaves.

Citizen immediately contacts Greater Amman Municipality to report incident, then heads to main municipal building. Crews begin procedures, request garbage truck brought to municipality premises.

During unloading of truck, bag containing cash found, amount returned to citizen in full with no shortage.
