Jordan, through Royal Jordanian Air Force, takes part at dawn Friday in carrying out precise air strikes targeting several sites belonging to ISIS terrorist group in southern Syria.
Participation comes in cooperation with United States within framework of International Coalition operations against ISIS, which Syrian government recently joined.
Operation falls within war on terrorism and aims to prevent extremist groups from exploiting these areas as launch points to threaten security of Syria neighbours and region, especially after ISIS reorganised itself and rebuilt capabilities in southern Syria.
