Fuel Station Owners Syndicate head Nahar Al-Saeedat confirms demand for household gas cylinders rises noticeably since start of last week, reaching about 200,000 cylinders daily, increasing yesterday Sunday to nearly 230,000.
Al-Saeedat says fuel sector operates at full capacity and continues meeting local market needs without shortages, noting strategic gas stock sufficient to cover citizens’ needs in coming period.
He adds Kingdom holds large stock of gas cylinders enough for several months, stressing sector readiness to handle any potential increase in demand if weather depressions continue.
Kingdom affected by weather depression for past 3 days, centred east of Cyprus, bringing cold, cloudy conditions and rainfall.
