Representing Minister of Culture, Ministry Secretary General Nidal Al-Ayassra sponsors 13th Creative Camp organised by Moderation Forum for Thought and Culture in Salt under theme ‘Towards culture deepening belonging in Jordan of dignity’.
Event opens with Jordanian national anthem performed by Arab Child Forum band, followed by Quran recitation by Sheikh Hani Al-Abed. Al-Ayassra praises role of Moderation Forum in organising purposeful cultural activities, highlighting Salt’s historic, cultural and educational significance, including Salt Secondary School that graduated early national leaders across sectors.
Balqa Deputy Governor and Greater Salt Municipality Committee head Ali Al-Batayneh outlines municipality support for cultural bodies, including providing premises at symbolic rent and making municipal halls available, commending forum contribution to cultural movement in Salt.
Balqa Culture Director Mona Saud says cultural bodies in Balqa form key pillar of local cultural scene, supporting arts and community development, noting 52 cultural organisations operate across governorate.
Moderation Forum representative Marwan Al-Faouri says creativity essential to promoting intellectual moderation, dialogue and diversity, stressing investment in youth as investment in national identity and social stability, describing camp as message affirming Salt as city of mind and spirit.
Dr Rowaida Riyalat leads creativity session on volunteering, defining it as voluntary effort without financial return to serve community, outlining factors encouraging volunteering and presenting initiatives supporting families, elderly, social customs reform and neighbourhood committees, highlighting Islamic teachings encouraging charity, environmental protection and endowments, urging participation in community service.
Arab Child Forum presents success stories including visually impaired student Maya Jad’an learning and teaching traditional Mancala game, and student Rama Al-Zoubi achieving advanced ranking in Reading Challenge despite multiple disabilities, reflecting determination and resilience. Children’s troupe performs artistic segment.
Dr Mohammed Hayassat shares volunteering journey including founding over 15 charitable and cultural associations, launching national initiatives, organising six collective weddings for persons with disabilities benefiting 78 couples, literacy programmes, and authoring two books in 2025 on Balqa writers and citizenship ethics.
Forum branch head Ihya Arabiyat welcomes guests, noting camp held annually in rural areas of Salt. Event concludes with artist Kholoud Odeh presenting painting of national football team to patron.
