Traffic Department begins implementation of special traffic plan in line with Christmas and New Year celebrations, starting Wednesday and continuing until end of all related events.
Traffic Department Director Brigadier Raed Al Assaf says more than 2,000 officers and personnel, in addition to 558 vehicles, take part in plan.
Al Assaf explains Traffic Department teams deploy across all areas, particularly public spaces, churches, hotels, tourist sites, shopping centres and markets, to maintain smooth traffic flow, enhance public order and prevent any legal violations that may disrupt New Year celebrations.
He calls on citizens cooperate with traffic officers to ensure success of traffic plan and smooth movement in all areas.
