Cold conditions prevail across most parts of Kingdom over next four days, with weather fluctuations including fog formation, chances of rainfall, and active winds, according to Director of Jordan Meteorological Department Raed Rafd Al Khattab.
Al Khattab said Tuesday sees slight rise in temperatures, remaining below seasonal averages. Weather cold in most areas, milder in Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with chance of light morning showers in northern and central regions.
At night, temperatures further with fog formation, warning of reduced horizontal visibility and possible frost over high Sharah Highlands.
On Wednesday, another slight rise in temperatures expected, with cold weather persisting in most areas. Morning fog and early-morning and late-night frost warnings over Sharah Highlands continue.
Al Khattab said Kingdom affected Thursday by cold, moist air mass associated with low-pressure system centred north of Cyprus. Temperatures drop, weather turns cold and partly to mostly cloudy, with rainfall in northern regions and parts of eastern areas, extending to central regions in evening.
Rain may be heavy at times overnight in north, accompanied by thunderstorms, hail, and active winds raising dust in Badia areas. He warned of flash floods and reduced visibility.
On Friday, weather remains cold and partly to mostly cloudy at times, with intermittent light showers over western parts of Kingdom, tending toward gradual stabilisation by evening, with possible fog formation.
Al Khattab urged public to exercise caution, especially while driving in foggy or rainy areas, and to avoid wadis and areas prone to water accumulation.
