Al Khattab said Kingdom affected Thursday by cold, moist air mass associated with low-pressure system centred north of Cyprus. Temperatures drop, weather turns cold and partly to mostly cloudy, with rainfall in northern regions and parts of eastern areas, extending to central regions in evening.
Rain may be heavy at times overnight in north, accompanied by thunderstorms, hail, and active winds raising dust in Badia areas. He warned of flash floods and reduced visibility.
On Friday, weather remains cold and partly to mostly cloudy at times, with intermittent light showers over western parts of Kingdom, tending toward gradual stabilisation by evening, with possible fog formation.
Al Khattab urged public to exercise caution, especially while driving in foggy or rainy areas, and to avoid wadis and areas prone to water accumulation.
