Calls to dismiss ministers linked to service sectors expand in recent days after failures in preparedness to handle impact of successive weather depressions and rainy seasons that cause significant losses.
After second wave of depressions passes, calls for ‘accountability’ take centre stage, particularly after flood accumulations expose fragility in readiness of temporary committees managing municipalities.
Parliamentary committees have yet to hold meetings to assess cabinet performance during weather conditions, but former MP Ali Al Tarawneh directly addresses message to Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan demanding cabinet reshuffle after administrative shortcomings proven.
Criticism focuses mainly on ministers of local administration and tourism, with lesser degree directed at Ministry of Public Works.
