On Tuesday, influence of very cold polar air mass deepens with low pressure centered over Cyprus, causing noticeable temperature drop, very cold, cloudy and rainy conditions across most regions. Rain expected to be heavy at times, accompanied by thunder and hail in some areas. From dawn hours, chance of snowfall develops over high mountain peaks, sometimes mixed with rain, with weak chance of limited accumulation over southern high peaks (Sharah). Westerly winds active with strong gusts at times, stirring dust in Badia areas.
Department warns of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas, reduced visibility due to fog over mountains, strong winds and gusts in many regions, and possible reduced visibility in Badia due to dust.
