Kuwait, 13 Jan 2026: Zain announced successful closure of its regional Zain Great Idea (ZGI) program with 11 startups in Silicon Valley, following two weeks of meetings with leading global tech companies.
The program gathered influential tech innovators from six regional markets to gain technical knowledge, practice strategic thinking, exchange expertise, build flexible business structures, and anticipate challenges and opportunities.
ZGI now functions as a regional accelerator platform, providing mentorship and technical support via Zain Ventures and ZainTECH to boost digital transformation powered by AI.
The initiative brought together startups from Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and UAE, engaging in structured learning in Palo Alto, California, to strengthen operational foundations, readiness for investment, and global networking.
Program structure:
Four tracks over two weeks: intensive sessions, training bootcamps, tech company site visits, and innovation center visits
Workshops covered entrepreneurship mindset, value proposition, personas, business model engineering, market entry strategies, AI-powered product development, UX design, fundraising, legal frameworks, investor relations, and financial modeling
Strategic insights on expansion, value creation, and exit options

Stanford University, Jensen Huang Engineering Center: advanced AI and computing research
Google, Apple, Tesla, Amazon, InOrbit: operational excellence, product design, robotics deployment, and customer experience
Atlassian, Pillsbury Law, Five Star Bank, Carta, Computer History Museum: scaling, VC readiness, and historical AI context
Demo Day:
Held at Pillsbury Law, Palo Alto; over 80 investors, founders, and innovation experts attended
