Yazeed Abu Leila, goalkeeper of Jordan national team and Al Hussein Irbid, says national team players will continue working with full commitment even if salaries are not paid until end of year, in appreciation of management’s treatment and its sincere support for players in toughest circumstances.
Speaking in a television interview, Abu Leila says engineer Amer Abu Obeid supports all national team players without exception, not only Al Hussein Irbid players, noting any request meets readiness and backing. He describes him as a ‘man of tough stances’ who stands by players in every detail.
He adds loss of title last season was painful and its scenario not easy, but now part of past. Focus currently on preparing for World Cup through additional special training alongside club sessions, to represent Jordan in best possible way.
Abu Leila stresses national team enjoys ideal family-like atmosphere, with brotherly spirit among all players, old and new, noting inclusion of new names does not affect team harmony.
He praises head coach Jamal Al Salami, saying he is humble and excellent off pitch, while disciplined and serious on it. He adds all conditions inside camp are well prepared, boosting players’ readiness.
Abu Leila concludes by expressing confidence in team’s ability to appear honorably at World Cup, voicing continued gratitude to his parents for their constant support.
