Director General of Association of Banks in Jordan Maher Mahrouq says Jordanian banks explore expansion in Syrian banking sector through partnerships with existing banks or new acquisition operations, noting some Jordanian banks already operate in Syria.
Mahrouq adds Jordanian banks interest in regional expansion, pointing to strength and resilience of Jordan banking sector enabling such growth.
