Al-Mosul Sports Club announced Wednesday the appointment of Jordanian coach Heytham Shbul as head coach of the first football team.
The club said the move aims to strengthen the team’s technical path and raise performance levels, relying on Shbul’s coaching experience in Iraqi and Arab leagues.
Shbul previously managed Jordan’s Al-Salt Club, leading them to their first-ever Jordan FA Shield title, before deciding to take on a new challenge in the Iraqi league.
He has prior experience in Iraqi football, having served as assistant coach at Al-Shorta and head coach at Al-Diwaniya and Naft Al-Basra, giving him extensive knowledge of local competitions.
Al-Mosul’s management expressed confidence in Shbul’s abilities, hoping he will improve the team’s performance and achieve results that meet fans’ expectations.
