On Saturday, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will head to Ankara to participate in the inauguration ceremony of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zaid, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Shoukry will travel today, Saturday, to the Turkish capital, Ankara, on assignment from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to represent Egypt in the inauguration ceremony of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The Foreign Ministry Spokesman stated that the Foreign Minister's participation comes within the framework of the development witnessed by the Egyptian-Turkish relations during the recent period, and the keenness of the two countries to fully normalize bilateral relations in order to achieve the aspirations of the Egyptian and Turkish peoples.
Erdogan had won a new presidential term in Turkey after obtaining 52.2 percent of the vote in the second round of the presidential elections against his rival, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.
