Jordan Foreign Ministry strongly condemns repeated Israeli violations of Gaza ceasefire agreement, latest occurring Saturday and resulting in deaths and injuries of dozens, constituting blatant breach of ceasefire and dangerous escalation undermining regional and international efforts to achieve security and stability in Gaza.
Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Fuad Al-Majali affirms kingdom’s absolute rejection and strong condemnation of violations, stresses need to abide by ceasefire agreement and fully implement its provisions under US President Donald Trump plan, enforce UN Security Council Resolution 2803, allow sufficient, sustainable and immediate aid entry to Gaza without obstacles, and proceed with second phase of agreement.
Al-Majali calls on international community to assume legal and moral responsibilities and ensure Israel compliance with ceasefire, stresses need to avoid steps undermining de-escalation efforts, and push toward clear political horizon embodying independent, sovereign Palestinian state on 4 June 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as capital, based on two-state solution, international legitimacy resolutions and Arab Peace Initiative.
