His Majesty King Abdullah met with the Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Ahmed Khalifa on Wednesday.

The meeting, held at Al Husseiniya Palace and attended by HRH Crown Prince Hussein, covered the deep-rooted ties and longstanding friendship between Jordan and Egypt, ways to enhance cooperation in military and defence fields, and the latest regional developments, according to a Royal Court statement.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti attended the meeting.
