AMMAN — Jordan Meteorological Department forecasts temperatures to rise above seasonal averages on Thursday under sunny skies, before a cooling trend begins Friday and continues into the weekend.
Thursday temperatures expected around 5–6°C above normal, with sunny and relatively cold conditions in mountainous areas, mild in Badia and plains, and warm in low-lying regions including Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Southeasterly winds to blow at moderate speeds, occasionally active in Badia.
Friday will bring slight cooling, with relatively cold conditions in most regions, while low-lying areas stay warmer. Clouds expected at various altitudes, with weak chance of brief light showers in evening. Winds shift to moderate southwesterly, occasionally strengthening.
Saturday remains relatively cold with multi-level clouds. Light, scattered rain possible in northern areas and northeastern Badia in morning. Westerly winds likely active and dust-raising, especially in Badia.
Sunday sees modest temperature rise, though cold persists in most regions. Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba remain warm, with active southwesterly winds raising dust in Badia.
Thursday forecasts: eastern Amman 19–10°C, western Amman 17–8°C; northern highlands 15–7°C, Sharah highlands 16–6°C; Badia 22–9°C; plains 19–10°C. Low-lying areas: northern Jordan Valley 25–13°C, southern valley 27–17°C, Dead Sea 26–16°C, Aqaba 27–16°C.
