Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle arrived in Jordan on Wednesday for a two-day humanitarian visit centered on health support for communities affected by conflict and displacement.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said it was honored to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to Zaatari Refugee Camp, where they met young refugees at a youth center and joined children in football, art, and music activities.
The couple stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and relocated to the United States with their two children.
During the visit, they also participated in a meeting with donor country representatives to the World Health Organization, UN partners, and officials to discuss the provision of healthcare services for Jordanians and refugees.
They additionally visited a private hospital in Amman to check on children evacuated from Gaza to receive medical treatment.
