The Director General of the Arab Bridge Maritime Company, Adnan Al-Abadla, affirmed that the company continues to play a vital role in securing transportation between Jordan and Egypt efficiently and safely, despite the challenges facing the aviation sector in the region. He stressed that daily maritime trips on the Aqaba–Nuweiba and Aqaba–Taba routes remain regular and fully prepared to accommodate the growing demand for sea transport during the current period.
Al-Abadla explained that the company is increasing the number of sailings in response to the rising demand for maritime travel, particularly amid the cancellation and postponement of numerous flights. He noted that Arab Bridge represents the primary connection between the Kingdom and the Arab Republic of Egypt via the international Aqaba–Nuweiba route, which takes approximately two and a half hours, in addition to the tourist Aqaba–Taba route, which takes no more than 30 minutes.
He added that with many airlines suspending or canceling flights or rerouting destinations due to the ongoing war in the region—resulting in some travelers and tourist groups being unable to complete their travel plans or return home—Arab Bridge provides a safe alternative for travelers and tour groups to reach their final destinations. Through its regular and reliable ferry services, passengers can continue onward travel to various countries via Sharm El-Sheikh Airport and Cairo International Airport.
Al-Abadla confirmed that the company is currently able to transport Iraqi and Syrian nationals arriving from Egypt to Baghdad and Damascus through the international maritime route (Nuweiba–Aqaba), after their airline bookings were canceled due to the current circumstances, and following the necessary approvals.
He also stated that passengers can easily book in advance through the company’s authorized offices across Jordan and Egypt or via the online booking system available on its official website, ensuring flexibility in selecting suitable travel times. He emphasized that the company offers competitive prices that take current economic conditions into account, making sea travel both an economical and safe option.
