U.S. President Donald Trump said Monday that a “major wave” of attacks has not yet been launched in the war with Iran.
Speaking to CNN, Trump added that the United States does not know who will become the country’s new leader following the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
He indicated that the military operation is part of a long-term campaign aimed at eliminating the Iranian threat.
Trump also stated, “I do not rule out sending U.S. ground forces into Iran if necessary.”
