The Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission has canceled the partial airspace closure that had been in effect.
Captain Dhaifallah Al-Farajat, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, announced Tuesday the reopening of Jordanian airspace to all civil aviation traffic (arrivals, departures, and overflights), ending the partial closure implemented since Monday evening. The decision followed a thorough review and comprehensive assessment of operational and security conditions amid ongoing regional developments.
Al-Farajat stated that the decision was made after an in-depth risk assessment conducted in coordination with all relevant authorities, emphasizing that it fully aligns with the highest internationally recognized standards for civil aviation safety and security.
He affirmed that passenger and crew safety, as well as the protection of Jordan’s airspace, remain top priorities. Technical teams will continue to closely monitor regional developments around the clock and take any precautionary measures necessary to ensure safe and orderly air operations.
The Commission urged travelers to maintain regular contact with their airlines for updates and any schedule changes that may result from the reopening.
It also reaffirmed its commitment to providing a safe and stable aviation environment, reinforcing Jordan’s position as a key regional hub for air navigation.
