Brigadier General Mustafa Al-Hiyari, Director of Military Media, affirmed that Iranian missiles and drones are not merely transiting Jordanian airspace but are targeting Jordanian territory, stating that claims suggesting otherwise “contradict reality.”
In remarks to Al-Mamlaka TV, Al-Hiyari said the armed forces exerted significant efforts to intercept missiles and drones that were targeting sites داخل the Kingdom, stressing that the incidents involved attacks on locations across various regions of Jordan.
He emphasized that the military will respond firmly to any attempts that threaten national security and that there is a sovereign directive to confront such threats with missiles, adding: “We will not allow any party to violate our airspace.” He underscored that such threats will not deter the armed forces from carrying out their duties.
Al-Hiyari urged the public not to circulate misinformation, noting that relevant authorities promptly respond to and refute rumors, and will pursue anyone attempting to spread false information.
He also called on citizens to adhere to official instructions and awareness messages, indicating that a high level of compliance has been observed among most Jordanians and encouraging continued commitment.
Finally, he stressed the importance of refraining from photographing any security-related incidents, stating: “We will not accept any citizen harming their country.”
