Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi participated in an extraordinary session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level on Sunday. The high-level meeting, conducted via video conference, was convened to address recent Iranian military actions against several Arab nations.
​The session was organized following urgent requests from Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, and Egypt. The participating countries are seeking a unified regional stance against what they described as blatant violations of international law, the UN Charter, and the fundamental principles of good neighborliness.
​Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit characterized the strikes as dangerous and entirely condemned. He warned that these military actions are fostering an unprecedented level of hostility and creating a deep rift between Iran and its Arab neighbors that will have a lasting impact on future regional relations.
​Aboul Gheit further emphasized that there is no justification for targeting neighboring Arab states in an attempt to drag them into a conflict that is not theirs. He noted that many of the targeted nations have worked tirelessly to avoid a catastrophic regional war.
