King Warns: Israel Seeks to Fuel Conflict, Continues Attacks on Gaza and West Bank

The King alerts the international community to the developments in Lebanon and Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory.
The King stresses the necessity of continued cooperation and coordination to protect civilians and achieve regional de-escalation.
His Majesty King Abdullah II participated on Monday in a high-level meeting via video conference with leaders from the European Union and several regional countries to discuss the dangerous military escalation in the Middle East.
Key Diplomatic Positions
During the meeting, His Majesty expressed his appreciation for the support provided by EU countries to Jordan and Arab nations. He emphasized that diplomacy and dialogue remain the only paths to ending the current crisis.
The King issued several stern warnings:
Expansion of Conflict: He warned against the danger of widening the war to include stable and secure Arab nations.
West Bank and Gaza: He cautioned that amid this regional crisis, Israel is seeking to "stoke the fires of conflict" by continuing its military operations in Gaza and the West Bank during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Lebanese Sovereignty: He highlighted the gravity of Israeli strikes on Lebanese soil and reaffirmed Jordan’s unwavering support for Lebanon’s security and sovereignty.
His Majesty also specifically commended the efforts of the Iraqi government in working to lower regional tensions and contain the ongoing crisis.
