Israeli warplanes have launched successive airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut since Monday morning, according to a Lebanese security source.

The source told Petra's reporter in Beirut that the aircraft struck the suburbs of Bir al-Abed, Safir, Ain al-Sikka, Haret Hreik, and the American Quarter south of the Lebanese capital.

Meanwhile, a source at the Lebanese Health Ministry said Israeli aircraft continued attacks on southern Lebanon, where a drone struck the town of Bint Jbeil, leaving two people dead.

Two paramedics were killed and six others injured by Israeli fire in the towns of Tayr Dibba and Jouaya, said the ministry.
