China stressed the importance of achieving the Palestinian-Israeli common security.

He added that the occupying Power should seriously fulfill its obligations under international law to protect civilians in the occupied territories, and the international community should pay equal attention to the security concerns of both Palestinians and Israelis and encourage the two sides to find the greatest common denominator through dialogue and cooperation to achieve common security.
He added that the continued expansion of settlement activities, which encroach on Palestinian lands, confiscate Palestinian resources, and violate the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, makes the establishment of a geographically connected, independent and sovereign Palestinian state unattainable.
He called on Israel to stop all settlement activities and conditions for the development of Palestinian communities in the West Bank, as called for by Security Council Resolution 2334.
He said that the Palestinian issue has been unresolved for more than 70 years, and that the outbreak of violent confrontations, the deterioration of the humanitarian situation, and the spread of despair are a constant reminder that the current situation in the occupied Palestinian territories is unsustainable, and the international community cannot replace a comprehensive and just solution by managing It is fragmented by crises, and it cannot make up for what it has missed at the political and security levels with limited economic and humanitarian measures.
He noted that the international community should facilitate the resumption of peace talks between the two sides as soon as possible, steer the Middle East peace process back on the right track, and seek a long-term settlement on the basis of the two-state solution.
He said that internal Palestinian reconciliation is very important to the cause of establishing an independent Palestinian state, and that China welcomes the internal reconciliation agreement reached by Palestinian political factions in Algeria.
Geng reiterated China's support for the establishment of an independent and fully sovereign Palestinian state on the basis of the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, and the peaceful coexistence between Palestine and Israel.
