The Arab Parliament called on the parliaments of the world to "issue decisive decisions that must boycott Swedish products and prevent dealing with them," and their emphasis on the need to respect the tolerant Islamic religion that calls for peace and brotherhood and rejects advocacy of hatred and incitement to violence.
The Arab Parliament also called on the Arab and Islamic peoples not to travel to Sweden and to take serious stances in this regard in order to support the Islamic religion and the Noble Qur’an.
This came in response to the decision of the Swedish authorities to allow the burning of the Noble Qur’an, as an extremist Swede carried out his vow to desecrate the Noble Qur’an, and proceeded, under the protection of the Swedish authorities, tore and burn the Noble Qur’an outside the main mosque in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, and the Swedish extremist tore pages from a copy of the Noble Qur’an and wiped with his shoe On it, then put bacon fat in the Koran and set it on fire.
The Arab Parliament stressed that these violations against the Book of God, the Holy Qur’an, are a full-fledged crime, rejected by all international laws and covenants that stress the need to respect religions and holy books and prevent contempt of religions, noting that these provocations stir up the feelings of Muslims and are totally rejected.
