Dr. Asaad Abdul Rahman, Secretary-General of the Palestine Cultural Awards, has announced an extension for submissions for the 13th edition until March 31, 2026. This decision follows an unprecedented surge in participation from creators globally.
Special Edition: Two First-Place Prizes
In a unique move this year, the General Secretariat has allocated two separate first-place prizes for each category ($2,500 each):
The Gaza Award: Titled "Creativity Despite Aggression," reserved exclusively for creators within the Gaza Strip.
The International Award: Open for competition to creators from Palestine, the Arab world, and the international community.
Award Categories:
Naji Al-Ali Award for Caricature.
Ghassan Kanafani & Samira Azzam Award for Novels and Short Stories.
Walid Al-Khatib Award for Photography.
Edward Said Award for Enlightened Thought (Submissions accepted in English).
Jamal Badran Award for Plastic Arts.
Poetry Award (Named after Palestine's literary icons).
Key Dates:
Submission Deadline: March 31, 2026.
Final Results: Mid-April 2026.
Award Ceremony: May 13, 2026.
