HRH Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein, member of the Executive Office of the International Olympic Committee and President of the Jordan Olympic Committee, attended yesterday evening, Friday evening, the opening ceremony of the first edition of the Saudi Games, which was held at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh.

His Highness' visit to the capital, Riyadh, included several meetings with sports personalities invited to attend the opening ceremony of the Saudi Games.

His Highness expressed his pride and pride in attending the opening ceremony of the first edition of the Saudi Games, praising the role of Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and his contributions to the development of Saudi sports.

His Highness praised the Saudi Games, saying: "Saudi sports have witnessed a remarkable development in recent years, and the launch of this course is nothing but a continuation of the Saudi successes in the sports field and an opportunity for all Saudi athletes to their abilities and distinction in a competitive atmosphere comparable to major sports tournaments."

The Saudi Games is the largest sporting event in the history of Saudi Arabia, and its activities will be held from 27 this month and will continue to 7 next month in the capital, Riyadh, with the participation of more than 6,000 athletes competing in 45 individual and team sports, including 5 games dedicated to Paralympic sports.
