An Iranian delegation is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on Thursday evening to prepare for peace talks with the United States, Iran's Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghaddam, announced.
​In a post on social media platform X, Moghaddam stated that the delegation would engage in serious discussions based on a 10-point proposal submitted by Tehran. The envoy noted that the visit proceeds despite public skepticism in Iran regarding ceasefire violations intended to sabotage the diplomatic initiative called for by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
​The United States and Iran recently agreed to a two-week ceasefire, which was reached one hour before the expiration of an ultimatum issued by Donald Trump. Peace talks are expected to officially begin in Islamabad on Friday.
​U.S. officials confirmed receipt of the 10-point proposal from Iran, stating that they believe it constitutes a practical basis for negotiation.
