Data released on Friday by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship shows that the Sanad application continues to achieve notable growth in user adoption, with total users reaching 2.5 million.
According to the ministry, 42 percent of citizens aged 16 and above who hold a national ID card have activated their digital identity through the app an indicator of the increasing reliance on digital government services across the Kingdom.
The data also revealed that more than 400,000 new users joined the platform during the first quarter of this year, reflecting sustained momentum in digital transformation efforts.
The "Sanad" app is available for download via major app stores, including the App Store, Google Play, and AppGallery, providing users with access to a wide range of government services through a unified digital platform.
The latest updates to Sanad application include an expansion of digital services and the introduction of qualitative features aimed at enhancing user experience. Seasonal digital services were also introduced during the holy month of Ramadan, including the option to pay Zakat al-Fitr via the app, which witnessed notable user engagement.
Newly added services also include the ability to purchase distinctive vehicle license plate numbers, pay traffic fines, and settle municipal property taxes (Musqafat) for both Jordanians and non-Jordanians.
Today, the Sanad app offers a wide range of government digital services, most notable issuing and renewing passports, issuing and renewing family books, obtaining civil status digital certificates, certificates of non-conviction, issuing and postponing military service documents, issuing school certificates, replacing lost or damaged vehicle licenses, and obtaining certificates of good conduct.
The app also enables users to file tax returns, inquire about and pay traffic fines, access Social Security Corporation services, and inquire about and pay property and land taxes (Musqafat). Additionally, it provides access to citizens’ digital documents.
In a move to improve accessibility, vehicle licenses for residents and non-Jordanians are now directly available on the app’s homepage, making them easier to access. Integrated services related to vehicles and traffic violations have also been introduced.
On the digital empowerment front, the app now allows users to change their phone numbers and reset passwords through electronic verification, eliminating the need to visit any government entity and enhancing both usability and security.
The ministry said these updates are part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the digital government services system and broaden the benefits of the “Sanad” application, in line with the Economic Modernization Vision. It added that the initiatives aim to improve the quality of public services while saving time and effort for both citizens and residents.
