The Faculty of Information Technology at Amman Ahliyya University (AAU) organized its first international conference on Emerging Technologies and Engineering Systems, in cooperation with the Association of Arab Universities and IEEE Jordan. The event saw wide participation from researchers, academics, and experts in information technology.
The conference was attended by the President of the University, Prof. Sari Hamdan, along with several vice presidents, deans, and administrative members. The organization of this event reflects the university’s commitment to enhancing scientific research, expanding academic cooperation, and keeping pace with the latest developments in innovation.
In his speech, Prof. Sari Hamdan expressed pride in the conference's success, noting that the participation of elite researchers contributed to enriching scientific discussion. He added that holding the conference despite regional challenges demonstrates the determination of academic institutions to fulfill their knowledge-sharing roles.

The conference received significant global interest, with 218 research papers submitted. Of these, 76 papers were accepted (an acceptance rate of 34.9%), reflecting high standards of scientific selection. The papers were reviewed by 103 referees through 496 scientific reviews.
Accepted research was distributed across various topics, led by AI and Data Science (26 papers), followed by Engineering Applications (17) and Cybersecurity (14). Researchers hailed from 17 countries, including Jordan, Palestine, England, Turkey, India, Malaysia, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and others.

At the conclusion, the University President expressed hope that the scientific outputs and recommendations would contribute to developing the IT sector and supporting development in Jordan.
