The Kingdom is navigating a temporary period of unseasonably cool conditions this Tuesday before a sharp temperature climb takes hold for the remainder of the week. According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), the country is currently influenced by a relatively cold air mass, particularly affecting the highlands and central regions.

Weather conditions in the northern and parts of central Jordan are expected to remain cool today with light, intermittent rainfall. While much of the country remains chilled, the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba continue to experience warmer, milder temperatures. Weather officials have issued alerts regarding reduced visibility due to fog in high mountainous areas during early morning hours and potential dust hazards in the Badia regions caused by intermittent gusty winds.

Starting Wednesday, a gradual shift in air currents will begin to lift temperatures across the Kingdom. A slight rise will bring pleasant conditions to most regions on Wednesday, with winds shifting from northwest to northeast. By Thursday, a significant warming surge is forecast as skies clear and south-easterly winds bring noticeably warmer, sunny weather. The warming trend is expected to peak on Friday, with most of the country experiencing warm conditions while the Jordan Valley and Aqaba turn relatively hot, with temperatures in those areas potentially pushing toward the low 30s.

Today's highs and lows feature 18 and 10 degrees Celsius in East Amman, while West Amman reaches 16 and 8 degrees Celsius. Mountainous regions will be coldest, with the Northern Highlands seeing 13 and 5 degrees Celsius and the Sharrah Highlands at 14 and 6 degrees Celsius. In contrast, the Badia reaches 22 and 12 degrees Celsius and the plains 18 and 11 degrees Celsius. The warmest temperatures are in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba, with the Northern Ghor at 26 and 12 degrees Celsius, the Southern Ghor at 28 and 19 degrees Celsius, and both the Dead Sea and Aqaba peaking at 27 degrees Celsius with lows of 17 and 18 degrees Celsius respectively.
