Board of the the European Chamber of Commerce in Jordan (EuroCham Jordan) discussed with EU Ambassador to Jordan Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas, ways to strengthen economic relations and attract more investment.

The meeting, held Tuesday at the chamber’s headquarters, reviewed mechanisms to enhance coordination and communication, aimed to support Jordanian and European business communities and improve the Kingdom’s investment climate.

Talks also tackled key issues of mutual interest, including trade facilitation, readiness for the Green Deal, and digital transformation to boost Jordan’s integration into European markets.

Talking at the discussions, EuroCham Jordan Chairman Mohammad Samadi said the chamber is committed to deepening economic partnership with EU countries, a key trade and investment partner for Jordan.

He noted Jordan’s exports to the EU rose 72.3% in the first two months of the year to JD112 million, up from JD65 million in the same period of 2025, reflecting "improved competitiveness and better utilization of trade agreements." Samadi highlighted King Abdullah II's role in advancing trade and investment ties and expanding access for Jordanian products in EU markets.

On future vision, he said the chamber will enhance its role in supporting the business environment in line with the Economic Modernization Vision, focusing on growth, investment attraction, and export expansion.

Chatzisavas, in turn, stressed the "depth" of cooperation with Jordan across sectors including health, education, and culture, describing ties as "comprehensive and strategic." He called for expanding economic ties, particularly in water, energy, and the digital economy, adding that an investment conference later this year will provide a platform to explore opportunities.

He said the European Union welcomes the chamber’s "practical" approach and looks forward to strengthening cooperation to support the business environment and deepen economic partnership with Jordan.
