Within the framework of its keenness to enhance integration between academic and applied aspects, and as part of its efforts to network with the industrial sector and meet Pearson BTEC requirements, the Faculty of Technical Education at Amman Ahliyya University organized a field visit for automotive engineering students to Al-Bastaki Motors Company.
The visit was prepared and coordinated by Engineer Saif Al-Bastaki, under the supervision of Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs Professor Anas Al-Zahir, and supported by faculty members. During the visit, students observed the work environment within specialized maintenance workshops and learned about vehicle maintenance mechanisms, modern fault diagnosis, and repair procedures.
Students were also introduced to occupational safety standards, risk assessment procedures, and sustainability practices, including recycling maintenance waste. The visit provided an opportunity for direct interaction with industry specialists to enhance practical skills and technical understanding.
In a related development, the college participated in a series of introductory and guidance seminars for vocational high school students within the "Training for Work" program, in cooperation with the Salt Education Directorate. This effort aimed to support technical education and enhance awareness of future specializations required in the labor market.
The participation included six specialized seminars in information technology, electric vehicle technology, and electrical engineering, targeting several vocational schools for boys and girls. The seminars were presented by a team of engineers and instructors including Rawan Al-Majdouba, Saif Al-Bastaki, Rashid Abu Hammour, Marwa Tahayneh, Mu'tasim Al-Tamimi, and Moataz Khatara, under the supervision of Professor Anas Al-Zahir. The sessions aimed to introduce students to modern technical specializations, highlight future opportunities, and review academic paths provided by the college.
