For the fifth consecutive year, Jordan Kuwait Bank (JKB) continued its active support for youth and sports initiatives by providing its gold sponsorship for the "Legend Challenge" initiative. Organized by IRIS International Academy in cooperation with Argentine football legend Javier Saviola, the move reflects the bank's commitment to supporting young Jordanian talents and opening new horizons for them to reach advanced professional levels.
​This year, the initiative witnessed a wide turnout from various governorates across the Kingdom. The number of registered participants for football tryouts reached nearly 6,000 players born in 2013 and 2014, reflecting the growing presence and trust in the initiative as a platform that discovers and develops promising football talents within a professional training environment supervised by international sports experts.
​The challenge program included a series of intensive tryouts to the most outstanding players, alongside interactive activities aimed at broadening the participants' horizons. These activities featured a field visit to a JKB branch to introduce them to the banking environment and modern financial services, a step designed to enhance youth awareness regarding the development of personal and professional skills alongside sports capabilities.
​The initiative's activities also included a gala dinner attended by organizers, partners, and supporters to celebrate the continuous success of the challenge and its role in supporting the sports and youth sector in Jordan.
​Haethum Buttikhi, CEO of Jordan Kuwait Bank Group, stated that the bank's ongoing support for the "Legend Challenge" reflects a firm belief in the importance of investing in the energies of Jordanian youth and enabling them to access high-quality opportunities. He emphasized that sports have become a real platform for building confidence, discipline, and ambition among new generations, in addition to honing talents and promoting teamwork and positive competition.
​Buttikhi added that the high number of participants reflects the passion and potential of Jordanian youth, expressing the bank's pride in contributing to an initiative that allows promising talents to interact with international expertise and access advanced professional experiences to represent Jordan honorably in international sports forums.
​The challenge serves as an advanced professional platform for discovering emerging football talent. The selected players will have the opportunity to travel to Spain to participate in a specialized football tournament, allowing them to gain new field expertise that contributes to developing their sports careers and enhancing their future opportunities in the world of football
