King Abdullah II on Tuesday reviewed the government's progress on the second executive program of the Economic Modernization Vision during the first half of this year.
During a meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan and relevant officials, His Majesty was briefed on the vision's key project achievements across several sectors, including healthcare, transport and logistics, education, and industry.
The King called for attracting more investment and priority projects, particularly export-oriented investments and public-private partnership projects, stressing the importance of both domestic and foreign investment as a pillar for meeting the Vision's targets.
He highlighted the importance of maintaining ongoing communication with participants in the workshops held to review what was accomplished during the Vision's first phase, and to reach recommendations and priorities for the second phase.
In the same context, the King stressed the need to sustain active communication with citizens on the Vision's implementation plans, achievements to date, and challenges faced, and directed that government efforts and Vision projects focus on tangibly and sustainably improving citizens' quality of life.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Muhannad Shahada, and Director of the King's Office Alaa Al-Batayneh.
