A consultative meeting was held at the residence of Sanad Bazbaz Al-Hayari, bringing together a number of residents from the city of Salt and Balqa Governorate, including public figures, trade unionists, media personnel, activists, and local youth, as a prelude to discussing the candidacy of Mr. Ahmad Bazbaz Al-Hayari for the position of Mayor of Greater Salt Municipality, following the recent approval of the Municipalities Law.
​The meeting witnessed a discussion regarding the upcoming phase and municipal elections, emphasizing the importance of selecting leadership capable of continuing public service and community development. Ahmad Al-Hayari was the final speaker, clearly expressing his intention to enter the race for the municipal presidency, continuing his track record of service to the city of Salt and Balqa Governorate, where he previously served as Deputy Mayor.
​Al-Hayari stressed that his relationship with Salt and Balqa Governorate transcends mere belonging, stating that "Salt and Balqa are his major tribe," while emphasizing that serving the region is a responsibility and a duty. He added that the upcoming stage requires working with a team spirit and listening to the residents' aspirations to reinforce Salt's standing, preserve its identity and heritage, and serve its future.
​The attendees agreed to hold a broader consultative meeting in the coming days to expand discussion and support with the attendance of a larger number of residents from the city and governorate.
