​Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly directed on Wednesday the formation of a technical committee to determine the causes of a bus rollover accident on the Dahab-Nuweiba road in South Sinai, which resulted in deaths and injuries, including Jordanians, and to verify the safety of the vehicle, the driver's condition, and the road condition.
​Madbouly also instructed the Governor of South Sinai to complete all legal procedures with complete accuracy, clear the accident scene, and provide the necessary support to the families of the victims and the injured.
​Jordanian and Egyptian sources confirmed to "Al-Mamlaka" the death of 10 Jordanians in the accident, noting that the bus was carrying 43 people, including 22 Jordanians.
​The death toll from the accident rose to 22 people, while the number of injured reached 28, according to the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population.
​The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates is following up on the traffic accident that occurred in the city of Nuweiba in the Arab Republic of Egypt on Wednesday morning, which resulted in a number of casualties and injuries.
​The Official Spokesperson for the Ministry, Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali, explained that according to information received by the embassy in Cairo, an Egyptian passenger bus carrying a number of Jordanian and Egyptian passengers was involved in a traffic accident on Wednesday morning.
​He stated that preliminary information indicates the presence of several Jordanians among the deceased and injured, and that the ministry, through the Operations and Consular Affairs Directorate and the Jordanian Embassy in Cairo, is following up on the incident with Egyptian authorities. He added that a team from the Jordanian Embassy in Cairo is on its way to Nuweiba to monitor the condition of the injured and arrange the repatriation of the deceased to the Kingdom.
​Al-Majali expressed his deepest condolences and sympathy to the families of the deceased, praying to Almighty God to grant them mercy, inspire patience in their families, and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
