Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi expressed on Wednesday the Kingdom's condolences to the Arab Republic of Egypt over the victims of the accident that occurred today on the Dahab-Nuweiba road in South Sinai, which resulted in a number of deaths and injuries, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
​Safadi received a phone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Emigrants of Egypt, Dr. Badr Abdelatty.
​Safadi thanked his Egyptian counterpart for the efforts of the Egyptian government and institutions, their cooperation, and the facilities provided in monitoring the status of the injured Jordanians and repatriating the bodies of the victims.
​Abdelatty affirmed the readiness of relevant Egyptian authorities to extend all necessary facilities to care for the injured and complete procedures for repatriating the bodies of Jordanian citizens to the Kingdom.
​Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and the Jordanian Embassy in Cairo are monitoring the status of Jordanian citizens to check on the health and safety of the injured, provide them with necessary assistance, and finalize the procedures to repatriate the deceased to the Kingdom.
​Ten Jordanians died following the rollover of a passenger bus on the Dahab-Nuweiba road in Egypt's South Sinai Governorate, which was carrying 43 people, including 22 Jordanians.
​The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates continues to follow up on the traffic accident.
